Hello everyone i built a new coffee lake system and plugged in my hard drive with windows 7 and my work files installed on it. none of the usb ports were working which included the mouse. One of my usb 2.0 flash drive, geek squad 8 gb, is not recognized by windows 7 most of the time. you hear a little beep sound always when the usb device is inserted in a port. sometimes the device shows up in 'computer' but most of the time it does not.. Usb devices do not work on windows 7. i did a clean installation of win7 a month ago, and everything went fine and was perfectly functional. then one day, with no warning, two of my usb devices decide not to work..
Usb midi not working in windows 7 pro 64-bit . it is self-powered, not powered by usb. i am using the yamaha usb-midi driver version 3.1.2 for windows 7 64-bit (the latest driver). and the latest versions of all their editing software for win7 64-bit. they assure me that those work for other users of win7 64-bit.. Now all mine three usb pen drives are working fine in windows 7. it's detecting them, installing driver for them. but if you install driver and software and then try to plug in "new" usb pen drives then it will not detect and install driver for it.. The flash drives not working on multiple computers only indicate that there could be a hardware issue. i remember having this same issue on one of my flash drive. the flash drive turned out to be defective..
